The crafting of a well-designed sentence is more often the result of labor than chance. A well-written story, poem, or article can be likened to giving birth. Each of the authors here has a desire to both write and write well. They want their work to not only be read, but also be readable.
This is the place for writers of all experience levels to come together in an online community devoted to the craft and joy of writing. Herein you will find a group of people who, published or not, are WRITERS (People for whom the written word carries special import).
Those with a message, a voice, a calling, an urge, a need, or a passion for ink-stained pages with a tale to tell will find friends and kindred souls here. While writing is often a solitary endeavor; it need not be a lonely one. Together we hope to become better observers, better communicators, and better writers while we unburden our souls with the words that well up from them!
Perhaps some great literary work shall rise from within these pages! Perhaps one of those who join will win (or have already won) a Pulitzer!
All who want to write, improve their writing, share their writing, and get and give feedback on writing are welcome to join!
Guests will see only "The Reading Room" with works approved for general release by the authors.
Members gain access to additional forums and works by our authors. It is in these "members only" forums that most of WCC's activities take place.
