got my nook today!!...er...yesterday by now.

I am super happy!  laugh biggrin

Packaging was great and easy to open.
Reviewers are either too harsh, antagonistic, or I am just too soft....

Page refresh could be a bit faster but it is still FINE. Just hit the page advance as you begin the last line of the page and it should refresh practically as you move your eyes up to the top of the page.

touch screen can be a bit too eager to please but a little practice and I had it running w/o issues (other than those my fat fingers always cause on touch screens)

Page advance buttons have a nice tactile click and work just fine.....who was saying they didn't? Buttons are also in a good spot for holding while reading. I can keep my finger on one and just click as needed.

Size, weight, and heft of the unit are really nice. I feel like I'm holding a solid piece of hardware. Unit has a nice beveled edge and pleasing off-white color (NOT gray).

Book "formatting" (time to initial display) could be a bit better as books can take a bit to open, but it does seem related to size and may be a caching issue (fixable via update)?

Now I am lamenting not having a lot of free time to read........but where there's a will there's a way.

My only real gripe is the lack of cover flow for side loaded content...though if folder organization were included in the my documents library I could live without it.

Happy nooking to all !!!
